New rear badge fitted

Took advantage of the hot weather to get my old rear badge off and replaced with shiny new one.

Must admit it looks better than my old re-painted one!!!

Just ordered a replacement front one, so hope the hot weather stays around a bit longer.

I think fresh badges make such a big difference, I need to get some for my current car.

where did you get these?

Looking good Pete ... (Apart from all the yellow that is).

Just got one from Leigh for the back and a standard one for the front should turn up in the post today.

New badges (and number plates for that matter) do make a big difference IMHO.

I've given up on new badges, been through a few as they don't last. Still got the stick on version going strong on the rear and an alloy on the front.

Just ebayed it. Have to watch out for size etc. I went for the genuine Rover one for the rear and have just ordered a front one.

Not sure if you have to cut the locations pegs off the front one, see when I get the new one and pull the original one off.

Leaving the badge facing the sun makes the adhesive soften up, put a couple of credit cards under the rear one. Stuck on with masking tape, then put a wide paint scraper underneath and then it just pulled off.

Had the badge for a year, just chickened out in case I scratched/damaged the paint but it came off OK.

Took more time to get the old adhesive off, I used white spirit and then re-polished it. Marked the center point on the masking tape, but you can see where the old badges fit.

front ones easy peazy to fit pete just get a small screwdriver, dont touch the paint and just flick it up from the bottom at the edge of the badge, need to push up while your pulling as well , then when it comes off a bit just stick the screwdriver behind and itll pop off, the old one has pegs on it too but the just pop out,

Cheers Ritchy, will do.
