Dip stick tube
Hi
Garage doing my cambelt have called today they can't remove dipstick tube as it is stuck They mentioned replacing with a new one or opening the sump and charging me more labor .. Any ideas ? |
Dip stick tubes held in my a 8mm screw near the front cam and also you need to push down on the connector to the sump..
They dont become stuck |
The garage have said there is no locking collar and he has never seen one without it before.
He has done lots in the past but not seen one without the locking collar. |
That's odd, the early ones didn't have the locking collar, but a mk2 should definitely have one.
|
This is what it should have http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-LYC100510
|
Revision to the earlier post, all 180's should have the quick release dip stick tube, the kv6 fitted to the Rover 825 had a bolted flange for the dipstick.
