:trampoline::trampoline::trampoline: |
Just had the phone call to say mines failed :(.
CV Boot Leaking, and more concerning a 50p size hole in my passenger footwell..... I am going to check the car over when i pick it up as i dont understand why i didn't see the hole when i replaced my exhaust. |
Still not too bad, new CV boot and 1/2 hour plate and weld, bit of underseal and its a good un.
:mml::mml::mml: |
Well got the car home, New CV installed and when looking under the car theres a load of sticky **** is all over both footwell's lol.
But i am £180 lighter :( :( :( |
Failed for the second year running. Only on a busted exhaust mount tho, forget how high speed humps are sometimes!
|
Not too bad again, bet a lot of car owners would like to get their cars through as easily as the ZS's.

If so i would be checking for water ingress, right on the seam top left at the top of the bulkhead the robots where unable to reach.. so it was sealed by hand, needless to say thats where they leak. |

Got mine tomorrow morning.....Dont panic.....Dont panic.....:hmmm:

Mine failed on the front lower suspension bushes...A little under 2 weeks ago.
First they ordered the upper suspension arms. Then failed to order the lower suspension arms. Finally after 4 days they were able to find the necessary bushes and my little ZS finally has an MOT again. |
thats the advises rectified on my car. going for a wee rebuilt in 3000 miles when it hits 100k though
|
good luck bowthruster! hope all goes well :)

Completely shocked but mine got through the MOT today with no advisories. Was convinced it was going to fail on the emissions but all good for another year.

Still only budgets but Im quite impressed with them for the money. |
Mine went through for the fourth time with me on tuesday. First time it came back with an advisory - although that was still only that i need to think about doing the rear pads and discs.
6500 miles this year! |
nice one :bow:
|
Mine Passed today after a fail on Thursday
needed Rear wheel bearing, new wipers, rear calipers stripped down and cleaned plus some new pads to make the hand brake work. no advisorys either :D all set for another year :) |
Good result, have fun for another year.
|
Good work and set for another year.
|
passed mot :) straight through but with some advisorys, which were air filter not secure (induction kit), blue sidelights (although they are the same colour as my hids) and 2 front tyres abit low...very happy :)
|
Well done.
:band::band::band::-D:-D |
Well done, another year of Zedness...............
|
Mine was booked in for this morning first thing but put it back to tomorrow as I got a shed load of crap I'm taking to car booty this morning.
One of cv outer boots is starting to crack. What's easiest way to fit new ones ?? |
Easiest way, for me, stick it in a garage!!!
Good luck with it. :yes::yes::yes: |
As Peter says, a garage is one option, if you want to do it your self, the stretchy boots and a cone are the best option, you'll still need to separate the shaft from the hub, but won't need to remove the joint from the shaft.
I can recommend this ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/J-R-CV-JOIN...ESHAFTS?_rdc=1 |
