I've done lots and lots of KV6 belt changes and never had any problems. Here's my guide on the subject. http://forums.xpowerforums.com/showt...507#post687507 |
Only ones i could find are like £60 - £70 for the wrench unless im looking in the wrong place :)

It has been a good useful buy so far! |
Another question while were talking about cambelts. I've seen the rover video and wondered why they removed the front cam bolts?
The rear is obvious it needs to be removed to change the belt .... |
I have one of those torque gauges, works well on a breaker bar as I have broken so many wrenches.
|
The front cam bolts are removed to fit the cam locking tool.

Look at my guide on tool free belt changes. It's easy to do. Rear belt change only requires the Inlet pulley bolt removing the exhaust bolt is used to hold the exhaust pulley in the correct place so the link belt can be fitted.. There is no need for massive accuracy when tightening stretch bolts. The threshold they yeald at is massive compared to standard torque to yeald bolts. Trust me 25nm using a standard torque wrench +90º is fine. |
I've seen your guide , alot of good information.

Anyone recommend a good torque wrench ?
