Cordless soldering Irons
I've had 2, the first was rubbish, a bit like a mini blow torch but was little blow and very little torch,
second was much better and similar to this but at 40w http://i.ebayimg.com/t/PORTASOL-PRO-...pONZ!~~_12.JPG http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PORTASOL-P...item589daead5e However this now died on me and shies away from butter so I'm on the look out for a replacement - what do you recommend? |
The ones we use at work are Portasol technic. There 60w, work well and seem to last (I've had mine 3 years). There about £25 on rs components.

Gas isn't a bad route, I've got a benzomatic one that I've had for years, still working fine but taking a while to heat now.best one are the snap on ones or as above portasol have a good write up

Snap on or nothing for me

The portasol gas ones are great (I got mine from my snap on dealer)

Ive had a Portasol for the last 6 years, and works a treat, and yeah the Snap On ones just Portasols.
