Rolling Road Prep?
Got a Rolling Road power run booked tomorrow to see if I am close to the stock BHP I should be. Was thinking is there anything I should do before hand etc?? this is my first one.
I have made sure all fluids are at the correct levels, all the wheels are on and tight and there is no developing problems. Anything else I should look or do? Cheers Tom :) |
correct tyre pressures , maybe clean air filter but only if its very dirty.

tighten your throttle cable at the throttle body

adjust it up till the revs are affected then knock its back 2 quater turns and then blip the throttle n check its settling okay, had 15 rovers this week alone with slack cables n mad e agood difference to all them, if you look at the throttle body youll see the cable, and a plastic nut clipped into the bracket there, feel the cable n it will probably have a lot of slack in it, pop the nut out and wind the majority of the slack out the cable, clip back in, then start turnoing it a quater turn at a time till the revs are affected, then knock back the way say usually 2 or 3 quater turns and blip the throttle and make sure it settles properly

Thanks men! will have a look tomorrow see what the situation is with myne.
Cheers Tom |
a bit late now I know, but apparently VPower can make 5bhp more once its fully in the system
|
Yeah lol, I always run it on Sainsburys premium 99 octane day to day and V-Power when funds allow lol. Would it really gain anything on a 1.6 though? I just use it for the engine cleaning property's.
