Whats wrong with this picture?

Just received my rich-brook MG BTCC style gearknob.

Anyone notice whats wrong?

Erm, it appears to be missing the MG logo! (although, to be fair, mine has all but worn off after 12 months)

Is it a wrong fitment type, so it actually doesn't fit? Other than that, it looks really nice, an MG logo wouldn't hurt it though...

The car has fallen off the end?

POMPSKI 11-10-12 11:00 AM

To be fair I havent got a clue if it fits, how do I get the old one off? It says compatible for all MG's.

Yes they have forgot to put a badge on :(

OE one pulls off, but beware if it is tight, you'll end up punching yourself! :ninja:

To remove the old one slide a wide bladed screwdriver between the metal base of the old knob and the top of the gaiter and twist the screwdriver, one of 2 things will happen, 1. It will pop off, or 2. someone glued it on previously, and it will be a fight to the death removing it:D

Getting the old one off is a PITA and, as others have said, may involve a few self inflicted punches to the face.

The new one should have come with a small allen key, you use this to remove the bottom collar from the new knob, slide it over the stick, pop the top on and then reattach the collar (tightening to stop movement)

I'd be asking for the correct item first though!

Haha cheers chaps

As someone on here said a while ago, "Just pull on it hard enough and your knob will come off." :D
