That's bright! Is it the same shade? Does brighten the engine bay up.

the camera is making it look a lot brighter than it is. yea its solar red. i used 2 coats of primer, 5 red coats and 3 laquer coats. its a very close match to the colour of the car. i was tempeted with silver but opted for red for now.

Ive been wanting to do this with mine, in silver.

Looks pretty good :) Is the V6 badge going back on? That should finish it off nicely!

Looking good did you have to rub the cover down before spraying?

I want to do this with my 180, my battery tray is rusty so i have bought a brand new battery tray from e-bay so painting that TB and will have plenty left to do the engine cover

I took my engine cover off... the tractor is noisy enough as is, and wanted to help get the heat away.

But that does look very nice :)

no didnt need to rub it down. the rough finish is a good finish to start with. it gives the paint something to stick to
