My ZS120
Thought I'd chuck up some pics of my ZS, some of them are a oldish now, wheels are now black - soon to be silver again after an incident with buffsol during a tyre change :D

Very nice, think I prefer the silver wheels on that, looks cleaner.

Was thinking the same too, but the silvers seriously need a lick of paint, the blacks look poor because I rushed the job on them.

Looking very smart. I must admit I'm usually a lover of the darker wheels, anthracite, graphite and gunmetals but I do actually agree with Mick here, the silvers do make more of an impression on your car. Maybe if the black was more of a gloss finish may make more of an impression but if was a quick job then doesn't really look too bad.
Are you going to get a dark badge for on the rear too? |
Great looking car, Silver Sparkle for me.

:hi: and yes, the silver wheels suit it best imo.

Silvers are going back on once Ive managed to get another tyre on one of them, tbh the diy job with the gloss black was a pain couldn't get it to shine as much as I wanted so left it, as for the dark badge, I thought about putting one on the rear but it would need to be shaped ALOT and I don't think I could source a badge that thick, they are only brass so easily ground down and IIRC was 6 quid for 2 on bay of the E, however the clear coat that is on the front of them does not like ANY car cleaner whatsoever and ends up dulling/peeling back.

Fair enough about the wheels, when I did my straights I only did it roughly but in amethyst it did come up quite glossy even in a very quick spray up. Did give them 2 coats each per wheel and was reasonably thick so perhaps it helped but also as it had a minor fleck through it, it always looked quite shiney anyway.
Badges, get in touch with Darren through Locking vinyl, he did my badges as his domed resin inserts which I think are great. Just clean up the old badge housing once the old badge is removed and stick them in place and looks oem+ Just ordered up some new ones for other parts. He can do most colours and is a really helpful guy and means can use oe parts for fitment so doesn't cause major problems trying to source stuff out. Just a thought anyway. All looking very nice though buddy :D |
