Engine Block
 

bit of a weird request but one of my friends has made a coffe table from an old engine block for his front room

was thinking of making one from kv6 or k series 4 cylinder does any one have an engine block laying around they dont want

The KV6 would make a lovely looking coffee table although rather heavy!! The problem you might have is getting someone to part with one cheaply as ali is selling for good money at the metal yards nowadays!! I just sold 4 old rover 15" wheels and 1 16" Freelander wheel totaling 35 Kg's and got £43 for them!! The KV6 block weighs about 60Kg's so that's about £80 worth of ali in scrap value alone!!
