Bonnet vents

Is there any form of bonnet vent that would be practical for the 180 in terms of cooling?
I'm sure it's a subject broached before but is there anything difinitive?

The BTCC styling would see a vent where the induction sits, would this achieve anything?

What prevents water getting in?

On my old Firenza I had louvres pressed into the bonnet, looked great but was a bit of a job getting it under the flypress ;) Water wasn't an issue, it dissipated the heat very well.

personally i dont think the zs bonnet really suits vents unless perhaps this is for the track car where it would be functional, if the vents are louvred then rain shouldnt really get in while driving, just parked up is the issue and placement of the vents, i.e. over the engine then you risk h.t. leads getting wet, risk of misfires ect, unless you could have a motor that closes a flap when locked or when it rains

Lots of cars and 4X4's have bonnet vents!! Water is'nt generally an issue ether. Touring cars often have large cold air intakes right at the front and they certainly don't splutter to a halt when it rains!! I'd have some kind of water trap just to be sure!!

Cooling vents are a good idea and would need nothing to stop water, as ingress when parked would be minimal and in motion hot air coming out stops water going in!!
