Very Rare ZS...
|
Thats a very "hopeful" price isn't it?
Surely worth nowhere near that? |
a 1.4? what is the point?.......
|
good for young drivers, who like big cars, but id be knocking atleast £1200 of the asking price
|
I do believe these were originally only for the Irish market but when MGR went bust the remaining ones were sold over on the mainland. A very hopeful price, ideal for a youngster, but overpriced even for them to buy.

Can see the benefits of the smaller engine for younger drivers but surely its a bit underpowered for a car of that size?

Or the ZT 120 was underpowered? ;) THe ZS TDi was 101 BHP origionally... and noone complained that was underpowered :strongbench: |
Now there's a sheep in wolf's clothing if ever I saw one.
Only 32500 miles - probably limited by steep hills in every direction! "The rice-pudding won every time..." |
My other ZS is a 1.4. Yes, it was popular on the Irish market as motor tax and insurance rule out anything with a larger engine for most peeps.
I wouldn't say it's underpowered, just average for its class. It's grand around town but does struggle to maintain speed on hills on the motorway. Not many of them in Ireland! I think it was also sold in Portugal. Both Ireland and Portugal would have instruments in KPH only so I guess a conversion was needed before they were sold in UK. |
A smart looker, but a very hopeful price imo.
