horn wiring

i need to move my horn, can anyone help with which wires are the horn wires on the steering column?

IIRC - The only wire on the steering column for the horn is the black earth - this goes to the blue plug on the back of the rotery coupler and is earthed through the button on the wheel but I might be wrong.

Are you moving the horn switch or the actual horn?

mk2?

if so, i'll check for you. don't know if mk1 is same?

It's a mk1, moving the horn button, thought there would be two so that helps knowing its one wire!

I thought there was 2 wires, a black one and a red one ;)

And just remembered, one earths on the wheel itself, so only one wire in the loom for the horn...

on the mk2, its the blue wire with a thin green stripe on it. (in the middle of the white connector plug)

If its an aftermarket wheel you have fitted then there is a way of using the old r200/400 horn contact, the mouldings and spade connector still exist on the ZS switch housing, so it should be quite easy to do...
