My mg zs120 project

Swapped this for a £230 pug 206sw about 6 weeks ago with mot till November.
It's had head gasket, water pump and cambelt kit + auxiliary belt and new alternator and starter motor fitted by previous owner . Needed new rear discs and pads and cv joints both sides I've now done the cv joints and new rear discs and pads coming tomorrow, but the noise I thought was due to the cv joints turned out the be the diff bearings . So fitting a gearbox that's done 60k soon.
Only mods I've done so far is fitted front fogs, led numberplate and sidelight bulbs, sprayed grilles gloss black and a performance backbox https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1d7c3fed1a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3d71b4239c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...904eacea95.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ecf25d844d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5065bc67b5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...85a19e306a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...79d6855c42.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dead6c7082.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...52e09b7061.jpg

What LEDs did you use for the sidelights? And were they just a straight fit? I got a set from an auto factors near me and I was told they were designed to fit as a straight swap but they blew within about 2-3 weeks

You have been busy. Can't say I like the wheels but each to their own and it's your stamp on the car after all.

Yes this car keeps me busy indeed lol. Not much left on the list of repairs now tho just got a coolant leak coming from the thermostat gasket so got a new stat with gasket and inlet gasket so that will be done next, then a front wheel bearing and got a dragging rear caliper to sort out then it'll be pretty much perfect mechanically. Just a small plate to weld then underseal under the car and some panels to change due to small dents that can be seen as you look down the side of the car. Yes the wheels are like marmite lol. Alot don't like them lol

Good job.

But the wheels aren't for me either ......

p_b82 08-08-17 09:56 AM

Nicely done - I'm another with the marmite aspect being less than favourable..

But I can't quite say why exactly... I *think* they make the wheels look to big or something...

But it's not my car so it matters not what I think :D
