Mods since I got the car (apart from the obvious white decals and wheels):

Superchip
Janspeed Decat and Peco stainless backbox
Rear upper and lower strut braces (waiting to get a front lower, got a honda item but kv6 sits too low)
Drilled and grooved disks all round, Redstuff all round.
Oil catch tank
Electroluminescent dials
Short Shifter
Xenon headlight bulbs
Also had cambelts, water pump and stat done.
I think thats about everything.

Planned mods:

Small things first like remove orange filter from lights, and fit MGF steering wheel (soooooo much nicer) then
Manifolds (next)
Coilovers
Cams
Supercharger would be nice but availability and reliability is an issue
and am also tempted by a T16 turbo conversion.

Well thats it. Hopefully some of you like it.

:)

The only thing I'm not too keen on is the huge hole in the bumper for the cold air feed :) Other than that though looks good!

I'll have to post some pictures of my Trophy Blue 180 at some point... will finish the body work and clean it first though! lol

Looks good to me

Just think you need to change your licence plates! Lol

Nice enough car, but the air intake is a fail lol

I know the hole looks a bit odd but the throttle response is much better since adding the feed. Functional rather than cosmetic :cool2:

It's been hard to clean cars properly. So damn cold. What you got loft to do on bodywork then?

Next thing. They look so bad!

Functional. That hot engine was sapping power when the car warmed up!

petet16 18-02-11 11:34 AM

Not very functional when it's positioned at right angles to the direction of airflow, unless you spend a lot of time sideways, or is it extracting hot air.

Oh, Need new badges, need new rear bumper (some arse hit me in a car park and ran off) and need to fit the body kit!

IIRC it doesn't matter :) and it looks fairly functional to me, its not a ram air, but the engine will suck in as much cold air as it wants\needs :)

So by that reckoning then no air comes into the car when you open the windows??

Yes a lot of air will blow past but it isnt at a right angle, and your theory would make the side vents on an MGF useless too!

petet16 18-02-11 11:57 AM

Yeah, lots of air comes in through open side windows, remove the windscreen and see the difference, mgf intakes have scoops iirc to help direct the air.
