MG ZS 180 (Progress Thread)
 

On 25th August 2012 i brought a 2004 XPG MG ZS 2.5 V6 180 with 48,000 miles on the clock.
It was very clean and was mechanically fine.

I will use this thread to update anything i do with the car and you never know
it may also be a cool bit of history to sell with the car when it goes.. (maybe)

A few days later i decided to stick the old Force 10s on to see if the larger wheel suited the car.
I really like these wheels as they are very similar to the standard ZS wheels which come as standard.

Got the rear speakers booming, going to add the rear tweeters and tidy the cables up tonight then focus on the fronts tomorrow.

4th September 2012 thought i better stick the head unit in, driving in silence is dead boring...
i had to fix it because i might have accidentally ran the connecter plugs over and smashed them to hell....... all is working though :)

5th September 2012 got my hands on a Cupra R splitter today. £45 from the local Seat garage. took about half an hour to fit.

16th September 2012 Few little bits done this weekend;

- Replaced passengers handle as it fell of because my girlfriend has hulk powers.

- Finished my ICE by putting the front speakers in. BMW Mini spacers turned up and are PERFECT.

- Stuck some mud flaps on (i know not everyones a fan.)

Love force 10s on the mk2.....

very nice car. Sometimes I wish id have waited for a nice mk2

Same here went to have a look even though I was looking for a mk2 the colour caught my eye.
Saw it, Heard it, Drove it, brought it :D

I still see them kicking about on fleabay.. get a set!

Lol I always think wheels are a big factor with a cars stance. when I see a car I always look at the body shape and colour, then the wheels. I can't help it.

Very nice, currently hunting for a Mk2 to go as a second car to the Boxster but Its got to be a monogram or yellow lol.

I must be the only person who does not like the wheels.... hohum lol

must say It does look nice in XPG the Mk2.

I got to say im not a fan I don't think they look any better or worse than the 11 spokes.
I dont think there's any aftermarket alloys that look better than the 11 spokes there the nicest looking mg rover alloy anyway.
But each to there own If we all had the same tastes It would be a boring old world. Still a smart looking car :)

if your cars colour code is jfm then its metallic mid blue, the same as mine

good luck fitting all that sodakid lol

It is JFM but my mate google says its Royal Blue for some reason.

I need some new speakers soon my electrical tape bodge to stop them from vibrating is starting to annoy me and was only ment to be temp anyway lol :laugh:

Nice. Where are te rear tweeters going to go? Are the front and rears amp'd together or do they have an amp each?

One amp, four components. Tweeters not sure yet going to do that tomorrow along with the fronts although I have no spacers..

Any ideas on where to stick them?

canny go wrong with alpine stuff,the best of the best buddy,costs a lot but well worth it

Have you got electric windows? Put the tweeters where the window winders were?

i haven't in the rear.. i want them at ear level really..

Custom mould some pods on the C pillar? Or even just flush in the C pillar?
