Mk 2 headlights

I'm after some cheap mk 2 headlights, not too worried about condition as I'll be pulling them to bits!

no such thing now I'm afraid, I tried to haggle with my local breakers recently for a damaged set (bad scuffs on the edges due to a front end dunt) and he still wanted £45 each!

Did you ever find these?

talkingcars 20-08-14 01:09 PM

Nope, still looking.

I have a spare pair, they're not in bad shape, one has some marks on the inner face of the plastic, I can post some pictures if you're interested.

What's the project that requires taking them apart? (I may have ideas of my own regarding this!)

Yes please Pete.

DRLs Blair.

As promised, some pictures, first up is the drivers side, it has been clear coated, poorly, so will need sanding back and polishing, it also has a blemish on the inside surface of the transparency, you can just make it out in the second picture on the top edge, between the inner and outer light unit, I'm certain it would polish out if the unit was opened up.

On to the passenger side, this one just needs some more time with a mop, and plastic polish, but, it has a small chunk out of the corner of the indicator, clearly shown in the second picture.

Do you have a delivered price in mind?

petet16 21-08-14 02:30 PM

Not really, I'm not sure what they're worth tbh.
