Great machines from the 80's and early 90s at auction.
Visited my uncle yesterday who had a 280 Capri back in the day and we started a chat about his cars.
Had a look on the bay this morning at retros and came accross an auction that I'm glad I can't go to. Found these - 280 Brooklands. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1987-Ford-...item258f018ca7 Granada Cosworth. (I swear I'd have bought this if I didn't have the Fiesta - Amazing ! Great condition and no mileage at all ..) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-Ford-...item258f01904a Lotus Carlton. Didn't know they did them in right hand drive. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1992-Vauxh...item258f01904e And one for a teenage boy - and a millionaire. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1982-Lambo...item258f019aaa |
Everytime I see a Countach I think of the opening sequence to the Cannonball Run films.

Mint and low mileage Lotus Carltons are worth a lot more than that, the clue is in the write up, "an honest interior matching age and mileage" = It's a bit tatty lol.
