ZS 180 Saloon

Looking for a ZS 180 Saloon, not fussed about colour but must be under 85,000 miles.

Will be using the car as a track project but needs to be road worthy as this will be a work in progress car, budget around £1300

Many Thanks
Dean

Shame about the mileage requirement, mine has been well looked after, is road worthy and has MOT until the end of the year but as she's done 120k the engine is a bit tired, with your budget you could get a new engine fitted.

I've got a yellow one, needs

Front bumper
Inlet manifold
Clutch release bearing
Seats
Cat
Airbox

But apart from that its pretty sound and engine was strong and only on 85k when the clutch bearing went.

£200

needs to be running as i want to attend donnington 7th october, going to use piper cams so don't really want to be messing around with body work.
thank you so far :)

I seen you were also considering a 160. I have a zr k series turbo that i may sell.

Mine is running and with no major body work issues, it only stopped being my daily driver when I was offered a deal on the mk2 that I couldn't refuse.

I'm only suggesting an engine change as it is higher mileage than you wanted and your budget would allow it.

I have a ZS 180 Mk1 which I am selling for an MG 6. 64k miles, black, saloon, had new cambelts, water pump, tensioners, inlet manifold, and fully serviced all less than 8 months ago. Cambelt replacement was carried out at great cost at an MG rover specialist.

Let me know if interested. I am in Midlands, not far from you.

Thanks

a zs engine with 120k is still very usable, I would be surprised if you noticed any difference to one with 80k. With the money saved you can invest in other things that would be usable for track as well as maintenance.

Somebody supercharged a ZS 180 at 130k and it went fine.
