120 rev limiting problem solved

hi all, as an update to my first post, the zed wasnt revving up to the redline and there was a lot of slack in throttle cable,( kindly solved by you guys on here) i did a bit of research on the net and found that in some circumstances after work being done on the car it can go into limp home mode and that by resetting the ecu it can cure the fault ( disconnecting the battery over night was the answer given online) so not having much mechanical knowledge i decided to give it a try, reconnected battery this morning, took it for a blast up the east lancs rd and hey presto problem solved, i still think the engine could breathe an awful lot better but it will at least still rev to redline now -have any of you more knowledgable guys ever come across this before ?

Standard but will prob replace with k&n panel filter when funds allow, it does still seem strangled a bit after 6k, are they usually like that ? ( having never driven another i dont have anything to compare it to !)

Sorry Ive got a derv, so dont know, I put in a BMC panel filter, only because reading some of the post everyone seems to put in different filters.

Suppose if you just bang in a new standard filter, if your one looks a bit black may help.

A lot of guys put a wing mounted air intake system in the 180's, expect someone will be along who knows a lot more than me.

Sure it will be do-able as they are normally very free reving.

I am def heading in the right direction, it feels like a different car already - i dont really drive fast often anyway which is why it took me so long to discover it wasnt revving, but the more i learn on here the more i would like to have it running spot on - next step a few before photos i think !!!

When I first had mine took it out to the New Forest and took some photos.

Big motorbike went by, with the guy shaking his helmet from side to side!!!!
