Bolts for calipers?
Hey all,
Anyone any idea where I would find 4 bolts for the rear calipers. I have new calipers and discs etc to fit but don't want to use the old ones. |
|
Yeah i got them mate, i did check them out first but there were quite a few to choose from however i got the right ones in the end.

Think I would just measure them up and order some decent stainless items instead of the stock items. Loads of fastner suppliers out there.

Those parts should only held in place with a bolt that meets or exceeds the manufacturers specification !! Stainless bolts meet very few stress tests. |
Stainless bolts are too brittle to use for brakes or suspension.

I think I know what I mean now. Its cause mine is a saloon. Cheers folks

I hunted about for ages trying to find some (they have a really weird threat it seems) and it turned out the local XPart were only 60p a bolt lol

Maybe, I just copper grease all the bolts and live with the rusty heads, although I have had some success dipping bolt heads and nuts in Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 it turns them a satin Black and does seem to keep the rust at bay.
