MG ZS. Mk2 120+ with 180 kit - XPG

Ive decided to sell my zed as I just don’t use it enough to be honest. The insurance is due in a few weeks and I have reluctantly decided not to re-insure it.
I have an older diesel car for going to work and back.
The ZS has always been my ‘weekend/fun car’ which I wash/polish all the time etc.

Im finding lately that on weekend’s im going surfing a lot, and as I never take the ZS to the beach as I don’t want to get sand in it, im driving my diesel at the weekends also… therefore the ZS isn’t getting used.

It really is in excellent condition inside and out.

It gets washed and polished and hoovered all the time, my brother always laughs at me because every spare minute im cleaning the car

General
1.8 engine (120ps)
Excellent bodywork.
Its x-power grey, as you can see in the pictures
No faults that I no of mechanically, I fix/replace anything when needed.
28,599 miles (I take it for a drive every so often to keep it running A1, so mileage may rise slightly, but not much)
MOT - 20/12/08 mot – has only covered 570 miles since that mot, so chances of it needing anything for the next one are very low.
TAX included – 30/11/08. Its £93 for 6 months… so being the 1.8 (120) it’s relatively cheap.
Fairly economical, does about 35mpg, can get more or less depending on your driving style.

It’s always been serviced when it’s due, and anything it has needed I have done.
I have all the service history/logbook/handbook etc.
Hpi clear. I have the clear Hpi certificate from when I bought the car so whoever buys it can have this but feel free to do you own checks.

Exterior
Ive already described the condition as excellent but here are a few other details/things I have done to it since owning it.
It came from the factory with the 180 bodykit fitted.
I bought the spoiler brand new, and had it professionally fitted and sprayed by a bodyshop.
And I bought the wheels (very rare & expensive, MG ZS mark 2 alloys) and fitted them. (They have 4 x toyo T1r’s which have loads of tread left.)
I also fitted some mg mudguards, which protect the bodywork from road grit/tar etc. These can be easily removed if not to your taste.
I bought new standard mg badges front and rear as the originals were showing signs of fading.

Interior
The interior again is in excellent condition.
It has the rare grey alcantara interior which goes very well with the xpg paintwork.
Climate control.
Leccy windows, mirrors etc.
Remote central locking and boot release – 2 x keys and remotes.
Multiple airbags, ABS etc.

As many of you will no the mk2 zs’s with the full 180 bodykit – in 1.8 form are not available in abundance, and offer the same looks but with cheaper tax/insurance and running costs than the 180.

A very reluctant sale to be honest, but like I say im not getting the use out of it.

Im located near Bude in Cornwall.

I know prices of cars generally have dropped of late due to the economic state and they have dropped considerably since I bought it so I have reflected this in my asking price which I feel is very very cheap for the car.

Asking £3000. No offers on this please. I feel bad enough selling for this price :(

If you have any questions, or would anymore info just let me know.

Cheers, John :)

This is stunning, i'm gutted that I paid £4500 9months ago for my 110. I would have stole this off you if it was for sale then.

Dan1971 13-09-08 10:05 AM

Wow ... Great car. Really nice condition mate. Good luck with the sale.

Reduced again.

Ive now dropped the price £1000 since my original advert at the start of the month, and I think it was cheap in the first place lol.

But hey ho.

Now only £3000, no offers on this please. I dont feel good selling for this price :(

John :)

Mate thats to cheap. I take it you've tried autotrader? I sold my 53 plate ZT 120 on autotrader within a day of listing it. It was on a Cat D aswell and i got £3250 for it. I was looking at a ZS 120 with the full kit on like yours in AT the other week and that was up for £4200
