Leon Splitter Fitted Pics!

Is this the worlds first Seat Leon Cupra front splitter on a mk2 ZS? :D Just got one to see what it was like and would just sell it on if it didnt work.

But im really pleased with it and managed to get it fitted quickly in the rain tonight :D

I wasnt sure how it would work with the shape of the mk2 bumper, so for extra security and a bit of uniqueness i pinned it up in the middle to give it a curved look in the centre.

Let me know what you think, such a simple well worth it mod. Quite good on the mk2 Zs it fits length way perfectly so didnt need to trim the ends :D

Took the pics on my mobile so they are not the best im afraid, plus it was raining lol. :mml:

you gonna go for it? :D you should mate. so simple cant stress that enough. would look great sprayed silver to match your car.

MGZS55 08-07-07 07:42 PM

I might just go for it sir. My brother in law does all that fix a chip, dent repair etc so could spray it for me. Wonder what it'd look like black though? The rear bumper has a black insert so wouldn't be a mile off. You couldn't photoshop could you?

sduk 08-07-07 07:44 PM

yeah stick a picture of a your car from the front in the photoshop section and it shall be done :D

yeah thats the price i paid, couldnt remember if it was 20 or 21 pound. go to a local dealer and then you dont have to pay for delivery!

mg-zs 08-07-07 08:01 PM

Must say it looks better on the Mk2 then on the Mk1.

sduk 08-07-07 08:05 PM

got to agree, fits the sides better imo :)

Stevedx 08-07-07 08:07 PM

Is it easy to fit Sammy? Would you be able to get me one?

sduk 08-07-07 08:11 PM

yeah mate im gonna make a "how to guide" but is mega easy basically just hold it up and scrwe it on, and stretch it to fit at the sides :)

are there any seat garages near you? i can get you one but would cost you more for postage. but if you cant source one locally i can do that :)

none around me that I know off, just some self tappers I guess?

sduk 08-07-07 08:19 PM

yeah some 1" self tapping screws, i drill a few holes in the splitter first to make it easier.

looks realy good that Sammy. not sure wether to get one and leave it black to match the rear bumper or get it colour coded though

sduk 08-07-07 09:27 PM

both will look great :D just added a "HOW TO" aswell :D

arwilson80 08-07-07 09:31 PM

I'm not sure i like it... IMO it doesn't just look as if it should be there 100%. Dunno why.

stamford 10-07-07 09:12 PM

That's an easy 'off-the-shelf' jobbie! Much easier than the polycarbonate splitters I used to make a la BTCC!

Looks good to me.

sduk 10-07-07 09:18 PM

cheers mate, i love it too, its even better in real life, the curve makes it look more unique

stamford 10-07-07 09:25 PM

Around the £20 mark from a Seat dealer you say? You couldn't make it for that. :hmmm:

sduk 10-07-07 09:30 PM

yeah mega cheap, you tempted?

Bobdope2002 12-07-07 05:18 PM

im tempted and have just bought one :thumbsup:

Why am i a junior member:baby:

sduk 12-07-07 06:15 PM
