who has 18" wheels

a simple question, who has 18" wheels on there ZS, im wheel hunting at the mo and not sure if i should go 17 or 18, i think 18's must look great and fill the arches really well but 17's would be a touch more practical as Sid is the day to day work and family car. any one with pics and example would be great. I have 16" hairpins at the mo and they are firm so i imagine 18's would be vvvvhard. cheers guys and gals.

Same here, although there is one i didn't notice much difference going from 17" to 18" , would find a bigger difference going from 16"" to 18" would have thought, still it'll be ok as a daily

assuming you get low profile tyres so your overall radius is the same... then the 18" wont fit the gap anymore then your 16s... if you go for larger profile tyres then it will but your speedo may be off a bit...

also with the 18s and low pro tyres i found my ride was harsher and the alloys too easy to kerb!

next time i will be going for 17s :)

um, yes i thought about the kerbing part as well, id love to say im great i dont kirb but even the most careful get caught out. its just nice to have more alloy and less rubber...... choices choices

yeah i thought the same... but you wouldnt realise how many times your tyre wall saves you! with the low pro's theres no tyre wall to save you even from the slight lip of a driveway :(

I run 18s on a daily basis but use 17s on track. Beware of the ET you get as they will rub if you intend to lower it at all. The ride is harder as you will be running a very low profile in order to retain the correct rolling circumference. 18s in my sig btw.

Now running 19" VXR alloys on my van and love them even more! They look mean as hell

I take it the vxr wheels are a straight fit?
