Out With The Old
Nearly two years later and saga after saga just happened to find this on gumtree the other day and only two miles away !
The old classic Wrx has had the plug pulled on re build and it's lovely 87k replacement which is an unmolested example for £1700. Broke my heart, as it cost me £211 to insure it. http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/picture....pictureid=1745 http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/picture....pictureid=1746 http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/picture....pictureid=1747 None of the usual rust problems around arches. New mot virtually. Not boy raced or chaved up. Back in a bit of power and it feels awesome. Got 16" gold wheels but just put our 17" mk 2 silver ones off the project wrx on her and really sets her off. |
Where are the pics!!!!
Sounds a good price. That classic insurance???? :):):) |
I'm a bit rusty Pete. Just got some pics up now. No General Accident used 4yrs ncb off my Nissan Note which I sold a year ago now.
Guy always wanted a subaru and did not realise a guy he worked with had one in storage so he bought it as soon as he saw it just like we did. His wife was commuting in it back and forth to Cardiff and it got a bit expensive. He just paid £350 labour for his own provided uprated clutch kit to be fitted. He's done about 11k in it. |
Must admit I looked at them, went out and had a look at some.
My price range was £4,500 - £5,000, odd, had a garage down here that had a few, all looked like they had just been recovered from a forest stage. So didnt bother. Thats what going out in a mad, 400 bhp, one does to you. :happy2::happy2::happy2: |
They age well, lucky to find one not messed with.
|
I was looking for one when GV51 came up.
|
i had one same colour, same car exactly, it was pretty quick by the standards of the day but it was weak in other areas.
|
Looks good
|
They are quite impressive in standard for tbh.
Think she looks better now the 17" Mk two's are on there. http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/picture....pictureid=1748 We got a nice 1994 wrx import Pete. Only needs a tidy block and rebuilding. 260 bhp now that flew. Yours for peanuts. |
Cheers, but bought a TF160, when I had my sensible head on!!!
