I sold my rover coupe turbo on the 28th december , just got an NIP through from 24/01/09 at 306am, 73mph in a 30 limit. When i sold car i lost logbook but filled in a v62.
All i have is the guys first name, he's from grantham and a mobile number. He claims to have sold car,no address for either guy?? what do i do |
did you not notify the dvla at all that you had sold the car?
|
filled in the v62, but i had this before when i sold a car, shitty cunts at the DVLA!!

0845 1135000 |
That sucks... it is stupid it is up to you(the individual) to make sure that the DVLA has done its job and updated their records.
hope you get it sorted! |
Hmmm good question.
I think technically you will be liable, but if you have evidence to prove that you sold the car on that date you may have a chance. On a side note... it took 3 letters and quite a few months before DVLANI actually accepted that i still had my car. :) They kept sending letters saying "Thankyou for notifying us about the sale of your vehicle..." |
well the offence took place early hours of saturday morning 306am some 100 miles + from me, i start work as a postman at 445am. Lol
ive been in touch with the guy whom i sold it too, all i have is a mobile number and a first name, he claims to have sold car and is texting me the details after 5. fingers crossed |
