how to take a mk2 grille apart please...
 

Got one the other day and looks completely different to a mk1 grille

Instead of 4 lugs at the bottom and 4 at the top, it has 2 instead

BUT

It does have holes which lead me to believe it should have something there??

I need to dismantle it as it's going to the bodyshop along with my mk1 grille to be painted along with the bumpers and a couple of other bits that have seen better days...


Any advice???

iirc theres a plastic part behind it you need to unscrew, then take that out, then take the mesh out,

I saw the 2 screws that hold the mesh to the grille, but nothing else :unsure:

It is stuck on and clips if you look around the edge with a screw driver you will see the tape and then the clips that hold it on around the grill take a bit off fiddling.

Afraid of breaking it TBH, any kind of "how to" thread, not as simple as the mk1 eh LOL

remember having to pop it apart but not anything glued, been a long time since i stripped one i have to say
