Zt question

Hi all hope this is ok and everyone is well. Got a 1.8t zt the idle hunts between 750-850 it dont sound very good most thinks are replaced headgasket inlet gasket coil leads lambda boost solenoid boost pipes/vac hoses plugs thermostat temp sensor tps iacv those are parts that have been replaced and swapped with known working parts i just cannot solve this idle prob any suggestions also it was there b4 head gasket was changed. Thanks

you put it on a diagnostic tool or a T4.

Might save some time and money if it can pinpoint what it is.

So many sensors on the cars nowadays.

Just seen your question on the ZT Owners club, saying the same, get it on a T4.

The IACV can cause running problems if not set up properly with T4 or another diagnostic tool that can do the job. Same for the TPS I think but not 100% sure.

Good luck with it.

Does electrical loads effect the idle? I had it with my 1.8T swapped ZS that the idle would hunt when I had things like the heater, rear window demister etc. On. Turned out to be a bad earth connection

Saying that when i start it up the rear window demist comes on automatically i always turn it off and i can hear the engine change when i do so i will check that out thanks for that
