The exhaust system should be basically the same as when it left the factory, depends how keen your MOT station is.

shame now one sells a false cat pipe, looks like a cat but its straight through, so the mot tester carnt tell the difference,

I have a cat look a like decat on my car and it passes mot no problems.again I guess it's down to how thorough the tester is.

saw them on ebay for £37+pp £50,so I thought I might aswell buy a cat for an extra £12 free p+p,for peace of mind, I don't think ill lose much bhp for having a cat,+ ill be doing my bit for the environment,i can allways swap em over after mot,

I don't bother and have never had a problem, thats with a decat fitted, apart from sticky calipers, this time.

Think that was because I didnt thrash it up and down our motorway.

Back in Monday for a retest!!!

Think its how hot the tester is.
