ZR or ZS, which is better round a track?

ZS has much better handling.

Thats not my opinion, as I havent driven a ZR. It does seem to be the opinion of the motoring press though, one TV example that comes to mind being the ZR/ZS/ZT tests by Top Gear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADR1tcpgocI

ZS for tarmac and ZR for offroad.

However I'm sure Mr Luti would have something to say if he were here!

I would say ZS for reliability Zr with the Kersies engines just dont cut it above 60k!

I regularly drive the same 10 miles of country lanes back from work, my ZS180 definatly handles it better than my wifes ZR160. The ZR starts to understeer on some corners!

It also seems to be quicker on the dual carrageways I use on the way to work (and the way home if I finish late).

virtually identical acceleration but the zs has better handling. driven both but never taken either on a track so cannot comment on what is better. but for road/country lanes driving the zs is better

ZR, by far IMO. I've had both round a track and ok the ZS will do better on the straights but you just can't beat the "chuckability" of the wee ZR

zs 180 is quicker round a lap than a zr 160 fact, zr is more chuckable but ultimately zs can take corners better, is more sure footed and can also once speeds get higher out accelerate the zr on the straights too.
Ive seen loads of zr's and zs on track and with equal drivers zs is quicker, infact ive never seen an impressive zr on track other than lutis race car.

does it not also depend on whether we are talking standard or modified as well. I mean a standard ZS would most likely do better than a standard ZR but Luti's ZR which, lets face it, has more aftermarket parts than most can afford is clearly going to be much better than a ZS with an induction kit?
I think a standard has to be laid down first?
