180 lpg

No rush to buy, but think this is the best route of getting me a 180.
Would like a mk2, but mk1 would do fine. Has to be in good condition though.
There's a mk2 on eBay for £2200 but thats a bit out of my price range

Im surprised that one on ebay is still there at that price, been on there for at least a month.
I still regret not buying that red one which used to belong to a guy called Clive I think it was.

Yeh I regret not buying that one, just too much for a ZS though.

I thought £2200 was a fair price considering the cost of an LPG conversion. If I had the money I would seriously think about it.

considering the conversion was probably over £1k (I looked into the conversion when I was going to drop a V8 into the last Defender... it's scary!) then that is a bit of a bargain!

Not a bad price, but considering I nearly bought a mk2 180 lpg with belts done for £1600.....!

I miss My old 180 Too lol

Same, a decent petrol MK2 wouldnt be far off that.

£2.2k is a good price, shame the advert isn't really trying to sell the car, pictures of the engine tell a lot (especially if the LPG is obvious), pictures of the boot, the LPG tank, and the filler do so as well. When was it converted, if it was when new things like the LPG tank need replacing at 10 years. TBH you can't even see the LPG switch and gauge on the dash.

And clearer dates are required for MOT and tax.

And which belt was changed.

As for paying for an LPG conversion, a DIY job is between £600 and £800 depending on the quality or a minimum of £1200 for a conversion, any less will result in a very poor job.

Assuming that car is as good as it appears it has got to be worth the asking price.

Matt, if that is more than you can afford you are really going to struggle, I'd see if I could find the extra if I was you, you will save it suprizingly quickly in reduced fuel bills.

Here is a similar car without the LPG, twice the mileage and a replaced engine - Still £1649
