MK2 ZS 180 Saloon

Our ZS, its my other halves (Lucy) daily driver.
54 plate MK2 ZS 180
A few will of known the car originally as Pete247 off X Power Forums, changed quite a bit since then, first things to go were the black alloys, lexarse rear lights and more recently the heavy tints.

After I purchased the car it went to Executive Motoring Services to put right the few problems it had, whilst there is was treated to a Black Oak Dash kit, Twin Tailpipe exhaust setup and a new set of standard ZS180 alloys.

Since then many changes have taken place, all the upgrades and modifications shown below have been done by Nick Bonthrone of Austin Garages www.austingarages.co.uk

Headlamp Wash fitted, Powerfold mirrors (Original MGR Japanese spec ones), stainless mesh bumper / grille. The front end has recently been repainted as it was riddled with stone chips from its former life up and down the motorway and a new pair off headlamps to finish the tidy up off (The old ones looked like they had been sandblasted)

Reverse sensors fitted

Electric Rear Windows fitted (Not sure exactly why as the dog is only rear passenger:unsure:)

Interior is actually an original prototype ZS seat trim MG Rover had made up that was never put into production, this has been fitted to the original seat frames, the set was for a hatch so the rear bench cover was modified to suit the saloon. Door cards and console lid have been trimmed to match the seats. Also has the alram Led's on the top of the door panels by the front locking buttons from earlier models.
We were not sure about how it all looked until they were all fitted and the very dark tints removed from the windows, now we are very happy with it and think it much improved over the original dark interior.
The front seats have also been upgraded to heated ones.

Wow awesome, you have really brought the spec of that car right up to where it should have been i think!

The electric rear windows were much needed and i think the powerfold wing mirrors are a great touch, can i ask how much / where you got the kit as i'd like to get it for mine!

A really nice, smart car - the only thing i would change is to get standard OE mesh on the front.

New colour interior scheme brightens it up and the Black Oak dash kit much improves the original technical finish.

One piece modified key / fob, much easier to use and no problems with the fob not being close enough to turn imobiliser off.

I would to be able to have electric adjustment of the seats, maybe the next project for it.

Not me all the updates in the pictures were done by Nick Bonthrone of Austin Garages .. www.austingarages.co.uk
He also transformed my ZTT into the spec it should of been from new.

Nick sourced the powerfold mirrors, they were in stock at the time with X part, I dont know the cost of just the mirrors as a lot of the changes were done together, drop him an email and I am sure he will be able to tell if parts are still available etc .
