Vis motors, Inlet manifolds

Put something on f/b re getting hold of a new inlet manifold.

Had this reply.

Byron Ewart Rowson Peter Wright I have stock of low mileage manifolds and also new factory old stock test units I also manufacture other items if you don't already know I'm known worldwide for my items and cars

Might help a V6 member

What kind of stuff does he manufacture?
Be good to know if he does anything else for our stuff that may be difficult to get hold of.

I have seen vis motors for sale in bulk buy but they are very expensive still per item and only sold in 50 units or more so not viable really but if he’s got those for a reasonable price it’d definitely benefit to us all as eventually they end up failing.

I think he has a replacement plastic manifold, which looked like a manifold per bank direct fit to the head.
It all seemed a bit vague and when I asked about intake length and presence of vis his replies indicated this was all calculated and tested and dyno proven but there was no evidence of anything to back this up, I couldn't work out if he had something good and was coy or he was just c0ck-sure and treating me like a thicko!!?
They were also serious dollar.

No doubt when they hit the market the dyno evidence will be there to back things up and he could be the saviour of the v6?

don't know anything about him/them, he just replied to a post on facebook.

He added this webb site.

As Mark says might be useful to V6 owners as I know good replacement parts are getting difficult to get. Secondhand parts are always a bit of a gamble.

Suppose better say that we are not promoting this site and do not know the quality of the parts, etc. down to members to make their own decisions regarding the parts.

Byron is the guy that Pete Scott got all his kit from for VIS motor rebuilding.... He also rebuilds VIS motors completely for a good price.

As I understand it he works in manufacturing for a prestige company and is trying to help out with the mg community wherever he can (Sounds kind of like Sheddist of old :))

Sounds good to be fair.
If the claims can be substantiated it will be good for our old engines with an actual replacement that, if reliable and gives power, could completely replace the standard manifold.
I’d deffo be interested. It would be the only part of mine not modified.
