Engine build practice

Santa obviously knew what my interests were and got me a Haynes Build Your Own Engine. Yay!

So gained a little knowledge so might know what one or two more things are when I dismantle the track car engine!

Nice :D Seen a few of those in trolleys in Toys R Us before crimbo! The only issue you will have with the real thing is the glare you will get when engine parts find their way into the kitchen and on the dining room table ;)

The dishwasher is an excellent parts cleaner:evil:

i bought a friend one of them, and before she wrapped it up I took a peek and decided I had to build one myself. Takes a few hours to be honest but its quite good for 20 odd quid

word or warning do not leave the batterys connected as they go flat in a few days

by the way your timing is out you need to twist the dizzy, should spark when the piston is tdc

Ignition timing fail Smokey:sorry:

I wanted it to run faster and was tempted to wire it up to a Lipo battery from a rc car lol
