How do i tell my zed is a 115
Im being told by someone my car is not a 115 as its not got vented discs but towards the end of MG/R they were just putting things on what they had,The only number i have which is on the car is 112ps.
The v5 form has it down as a 115 The invoice when it was bought as new has it down as a 115. When i do online insurance quotes it comes out as a 115. But on the car it has noting to say what it is. |
On mine there is a sticker on the pass side by the front door says 83KWT, dont know if that = 115 but I've also seen 113bhp quoted.
There's that govt web page to make sure you are MOT'd and also the insurance web page, I've checked and its come back as a 115. :hmmm::hmmm::hmmm: |
Yea ill add that to the list the gov webpage as that also comes back as a 115.
Mine not got 83KWT on the car but it has it down on the v5,I cant see my zed isn't a 115 when all the paperwork is saying MG ZS+115 Dont know what 112ps stands for? |

As a rule of thumb, you can knock off one PS for every 100PS to reach a rough bhp figure. For INFO: manufacturers still quote a power output rating called PS, which stands for Pferdest?rke (literally, 'horse strength'). It's alternatively known as DIN (Deutsches Institut f?r Normung) hp as opposed to SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) bhp. |
It will be 115Ps or 112 BHP as the PS is the larger figure.
If it's coming back as a ZS 115 then it's highly likely that they are all correct and this 'someone' is wrong. |
Ok thanks chaps,I did wonder what the 112 ps was,Strange some peoples cars have the 85kwt on the pillar and some dont,Maybe they couldn't be arsed to put everything on as time was running out ....:hang:
|
Mine has a 113PS sticker on the shut, just to confuse things more! ;)

Thanks everyone:clap: |
Mine says 112 as well, the PS is always just shy of the BHP as far as I know. I think its safe to say that yours is a 115, marketing logic suggests its better to give the impression of 115 BHP in the labeling of the car. :)
