Ok thanx, have been keeping an eye on the bay but didn't see that 1, will check it out!!

SheppeyTrio 26-03-10 12:02 PM

Up at £41 at the mo with 1 day to go! Will keep an eye on it!! Why do people bid on things so early in the auctions? I usually wait til the last half hour!

Dan1971 26-03-10 12:06 PM

I'll be honest - I tend to bid early. If I see something, I decide how much I'd be happy to pay and enter that amount.

Only exception has been when I bought my Mk1. My Mrs got carried away with some last minute bidding on my behalf. Not bothered though - 'twas a great car and well worth what I paid for it.

SheppeyTrio 26-03-10 12:15 PM

The sellers from Plymouth, is there anyone from the area that could get it off him and store it for me til 15th'ish of June when we're going to Cornwall and would pick it up en-route!?

Dan1971 28-03-10 10:57 AM

Yes, they are M6 studs. If you don't have a spoiler fitted already (the low level one) then there should be markings on the inner lip showing where to drill the 6 off positions.

theyre isnt on the MK2 i made this mistake hence why i have an extra filled hole in my tailgate

the way i did it was to position the spoilers bolts onto the bootlid with a peice of masking tape and draw round the bolts giving an accurate place to drill......then i just greased the holes to prevent any rust fitted the bolts and hey presto

SheppeyTrio 30-03-10 02:20 PM

I've got my otherhalfs car with spoiler to get measurements etc! Should be good!! I won't feel left out at meets now!! LoL
