We had one. Goregous wee dog, Had to put her down last month due to old age. :(

Worse journey I ever took, taking our last Springer Spaniel to the vets knowing I wouldnt be bringing him back.

They become part of the family, only downside of owning a dog.

The last trip to the vet is certainly not much fun, but if your pets quality of life has deteriorated due to old age/illness, it is the right decision.

We are thinking about having another Westie, they're as daft as a box of frogs, but great dogs.
