Formal help request

Hi Guys,

Rather than bury this in the build/progress thread I figured I'd put it up here and see what my options were....

So here is where I stand - some-one on FB has contacted me and has the keys, if I can prove all bills are paid up (I can) then I'm able to go and collect the car...

however the tyres are cracked, the brakes apparently are seized and the insides might be in a bit of a mess...

so it needs recovery.....

I'd like to get it MOT'd & taxed but that is going to be a bit of an issue without knowing what work it needs to get it ready....

So.....

Is there any-one on here that can help out with recovery and getting it back on the road as the first port of call?

I'm more than happy to pay any & all costs involved - and am willing to put up some money upfront as a sign of goodwill as appropriate.

Once it is roadworthy again, I'll work out what to do with the turbo & manifold fitting at that point... although I'll most likely need help with that, it needs a custom oil feed or drain as it is not completely bolt off bolt on...

Any help will be massively appreciated.......

Thanks,

Pete

I could prolly help get it back on the road. As said I'm not too far from Silverstone. Where are you based?

I'm down in Bristol - but more than willing to travel up...

The person who has the keys has said they'll get it ready to be moved...

And thanks Drew....

Sounds like the best offer you'll get. Gets my vote!

I have an almost complete (no wheels or exhaust) ZS180 MK2 sitting on my drive ready to go to scrap once I take things off of it, apart from the Rear brakes (Which I think Mick wants) if there are any bits that can be used to help you out please let me know... :)

Also I am heading up bristol way in a few weeks (potentially) to collect some MGF parts and see family... so might be able to arrange delivery of bits if needed also.

That's also very kind - I guess once we've got the car recovered and looked at we'll know more what it needs....

I'm hoping just free up the brakes, and new set of boots, charge the battery and it'll pass the MOT... but impossible for me to know :(

Think this is more of a Rescue of a members car and needs sorting quickly.

I have not forgotten Sam, just had more pressing things on my mind. Must arrange a day to pop round.
