Did that with my MG Midget, few years ago. Does work.

Chris hated Holy Island, couldnt wait to get off it and was worried we would miss the tide. Said it had a orrid feel about the place!!!!!!

Dunno to be honest! My brothers borrowed it whilst up that way! But i'd guess they dropped someone off outside the water and then backed up!?? It was only a few inches deep but apparently it gets upto 15ft deep!!
