New MK2 ZS 180 saloon

Finally picked up a Saloon today with the plan to replace my 120 hatch with. Brought it off another forum member who as had the car since 2005 and she has covered only 57,000 miles. Ive took a bit of a risk with it since the key and fob has been lost but for £300 i thought its worth that in parts alone. I took the SCU, FOB and Steering column from my 120 just so could get the car steerable, unlocked and to get the alarm switched off but to get into the car had to knock in the drivers rear window. Ive ordered another FOB, SCU and ECU from Ebay so until then i wont have much to update you all on....

Could be a steal. Looks honest enough and in good condition compared to some I’ve seen.

I'm hoping so had good look over it no surprises yet touch wood, had engine cranking over doesn't seem to be any funny noises etc. Once the ECU kit gets here if it runs will MOT it see and go from there :)

It's criminal that these are going this cheap. The saving grace it's going to someone who cares for the things. Throw £2-3k at it and it's going to be something special.

Won't be sending to much on this one just going to get it up and running and do the cam belts, service ect. To be honest I think it's a bit to clean and tidy for me to use as a family run about

Good your keeping on road, it's all too easy for good cars to be scrapped these days but I think our generation will come to regret the current situation when there's none left in 10-20 years time to enjoy.

Agree is a shame, the guy who owned it was saying of wasn't gone by this weekend was going to scrap

No different to any car, when did you last see a Ford Corsair or a Peugeot 104 or a Vauxhall Cavalier or an Alfa 33 - all cars that have been in my family that I haven't seen on the road in a very long time. TBF I wouldn't care if I did see the Pug or the cav again but the Corsair was good and I'd have another 33 tomorrow.
