MG ZS 180 Weight

I had to some metal to the reycling place and asked if I could put my car on the weight bridge and it came out at 1220KG. (Pretty light weight for a saloon!)

Is that accurate for a standard ZS 180 saloon?

Yes pretty much

Parkers lists the weight as 1285kg for a mk1 saloon and 1235kg for a mk2.

I always thought it was 1245kg

Close enough!

A stripped 180 must be near a tonne. So power to weight must be pretty close to 180/tonne?

Mk2's will always be lighter than MK1's because there not quite built to the same quality from what i understand. The carpets for example are half as thick on a MK2. Theres also a bit more sound deadning material in the MK1. I can also confirm from experience the door handles and other pieces here and there are of a much better quality on a MK1.

And just for the record, i have a MK2
