hmm... i wonder if they asked him to stop/open window before they smashed it.

although it says something about the thickness of glass in those range rovers... it took a hell of a beating before it broke!

I read somewhere that he'd hit a policeman at some point. Will be interesting to find out the full story. Looks OTT from what's on the BBC though.

Even if the chap did something wrong I cannot see how that action is justified, that to me is a criminal offence in itself. Guess we need to hear the full story to see how it got this far.

It happened fairly local to me, it seems that he was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt initially, so he did stop, and then it seems there was some confusion and the guy assumed the police had finished with him, so he drove off.

The reaction is completely out of proportion, I mean ffs he's a 70 year old.
