Mk1 ZS 180 Saloon

I'll be quite picky with this as im in no rush to buy.

Im after a low mileage Silver/Trophy Blue/Xpower Grey/Biomorphic green(long shot!)/monogram mk1 ZS saloon. Needs to be mint inside and out with cambelt done, no vis/manifold issues. Dont mind if its standard or with a nice exhaust/induction.

£1600 budget.

The first one is Blue Harbour from Xpower forums old car, might be worth dropping him a PM if you are registered on there to find out more details.

Thanks for the links :beer2:

Ive emailed the chap about harbs old car. I think it was in a trackday crash and he was never happy with it after that. I'll try and get some more info.

I don't want to appear rude, but stating it has to be mint inside and out with work done, low mileage and for a budget of £1600 is somewhat asking too much. Let's not forget these cars are underpriced for what they are, so imo asking for the above for £1600 undermines us current owners.

Personally if I were looking to buy a 180 I would be expecting to pay over £2-2.5k for a mint mk1 as you have described, £1600 would be requiring some work and not mint. What else can you buy for £1600 that is the same age and has similar features and performance etc and is mint? Bet most will be older, tired and with alot of miles.

You may well be very lucky in your search and I may be proved wrong.

Your right and I apologise if I have undermined them. Im going on the 3 ZS's I have viewed this week. All were the spec I was after and in good condition varying in price from £1150 to £1500.

Good for yourself but bad for those selling, seems some owners feel they are worthless which is a crying shame. One day this will turn around and probably give it another 10-15 years they well be sought after and you will see inflated prices. I have seen it recently with cars back in my day that were unnoticed whereas today they are sought after and what I can only say as unbelievably high prices.

We will look back on this and say, wish I held on to that car, look at them now!
