Reasonable to you or the buyer ......... ?

Play fair and give any potential purchaser an idea of what your after.

afcbadam 11-07-09 08:55 PM

Offers only. not going to put any prices down, as the last few people to do this have had 3 pages of comments saying they are asking to much and wont get what they want!

i know what i want and dont need people telling me what i should take for it. ill wait a while untill an offer is made through here that meets what i want, if not ebay then if not ill put it in an auction with a reserve.

The mk1 180 's that are older and have a lot more miles than mine seem to average around 3k on ebay.

Dan1971 13-07-09 11:34 PM

Not the ones I've been watching !!!

The latest being a red hatch .... 2004 "53" plate which was 19K with FSH and ex-network Q car. It only bid up to about £1650 IIRC .... reserve not met.

As enthusiasts surely we should be dictating the market with regard to well kept owners club cars. Adams is definitley one of those. Better cars should command a higher price. I think £3000 is a fair asking price for Adams car, its an excellent low mileage example.

Lets not help push values down by suggesting that a car is overpriced. Lesser condition cars are priced accordingly, thats been highlighted in another thread.

Good luck with the sale Adam. Im sure you'll get what you want for it.

Sounds like you missed a bargain with that one on ebay Dan  How come you didnt buy it?

Dan1971 14-07-09 02:28 PM

'Cause I've got no money yet !!

Watching your old one now though !!

vinny1979 14-07-09 02:28 PM

lol I agree.

Any other car of the same class / performance would fetch considerably more than we are told to accept for ours.

WHY¬?!
