Anyone know this mk2 180

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=161253303884

Looks good, has low mileage, full history including belts, s/s exhaust system, induction and sheddist.

Anyone know more about it?

Anyone near it who'd take a look at it?

peterzs 25-03-14 03:02 PM

Looks and sounds good.

Dont know it, and a bit far away, sorry.

Might be worth a punt, specially if you say you reserve the right to walk away, if its not as advertised?????

peterzs 25-03-14 03:08 PM

Sounds like we should know of it. Fleet of 3 ZS 's including a 272bhp one!!!!!

Smokey 25-03-14 03:32 PM

That's what I thought Pete. But then the guy with the green one is a member on all but this forum! Was hoping for some knowledge though. Give me more confidence to buy.

peterzs 25-03-14 04:26 PM

Depends on his reserve as well!!!!

Smokey 25-03-14 04:39 PM

I know his reserve, it's not too far off the first bid.

Ritchy 25-03-14 05:15 PM

Dowbside is cheap wheels so probably like 50p pieces, looks like cheap tyres to me, says it will do 140 which puts me off as well as the out handling the Impreza bit, sounds like its been getting thrashed

talkingcars 25-03-14 05:37 PM

Dunno about this one - the ad reads a bit chav and the pictures are doing the same rather than having descriptive pictures and what about the interior and under bonnet shots?

petet16 25-03-14 05:54 PM

As above interior and engine bay pics would be helpful.

It looks nice and shiny on the outside.

Smokey 25-03-14 07:31 PM

I have seen interior pics. grey alcantara, better nick than mine, but has a silly gear knob and pedals. All removable and able to be swapped.

Not seen the engine bay, but have asked for a picture of it.

The clock is ticking! Bit of a way to come down if not right.

andys1981 25-03-14 09:46 PM

a reckon that looks fine but under the bonnet is essential mate, hope it a good one

Maxfly 26-03-14 06:23 AM

Got to agree with Andy, looks fine to me. I wouldn't mind if a car had been driven 'well' as long as there is evidence that they do care, service and check fluids etc enough. Pictures hide a thousand sins is the only problem.
Get your pics of the interior and engine, if they look fine ask what imperfections there are that you would notice and point out to him that it is likely you will buy it if he is fully honest. If he isn't fully honest you will quite happily walk away regardless of distance travelled.
If someone is prepared to spend decent money on a belt change I can't see the car having neglected that much tbh:)

Smokey 26-03-14 01:43 PM

Well it didn't sell at £1550. Could offer him that amount but seems pretty fixed on what he wants which is fair enough.

petet16 26-03-14 02:05 PM

Really poor finish time, he should have finished the auction in the evening, it could have made a few more £££

Smokey 26-03-14 02:46 PM

Think the only bid may have been his. The last time he listed it it made less than £1200

petet16 26-03-14 03:01 PM

I think ebay is good for a quick sale, but not so much for getting a decent price.

Sub £1200 would be a proper bargain.

Smokey 26-03-14 03:38 PM

He wants £1600

petet16 26-03-14 03:54 PM

Offer him £1575 cash, folding money, car is out of his life.
