Been a while.

Hello all, not been on here in a while as had loads on the go but am considering getting back into a 180 again now.
Would be after a very clean example with nice mods done (if done well) with a good history background like my old hatch had.

If anyone knows of anything I would be interested to hear.
Not in a rush but am possibly on the market for the right one.

You missed the right one for sale last week lol. My old ZS firefrost saloon.

Welcome back Craig. Happy to help in the hunt - any specific needs?

Hello Dan, hope you are well mate?
Well keeping my eyes open for one at the mo, not in a rush but if one comes along then will honestly look closer.
Would ideally like full electrics, the nicer half leather Monaco interior as minimum and then good bodywork.
Mod wise - stainless exhaust, Sheddist kit, lowered.
If I do come back into the ownership I will put more into this one and go for the cams, janspeed manis, and go more into it engine wise.
As long as interior is a top spec and car is good and straight that's what I'm after really.
More hatch than saloon as just prefer them but at the end of the day I am not too fussed. Not really fussed if mk1 as still have a soft spot for them.

Hello mate :)

Haha, yeah I think you'd struggle to find one that doesn't have Matt as previous owner on the logbook lol.

He says he's in the market for the right one - not desperate!

I'd be looking at this mate if I were you - sure that you'll have seen it.

Auction ends tomorrow evening so time to go see it perhaps. Low recorded miles, good colour, alcantara.

Exhaust's sticking out a bit but that's easily sorted and the rear bumper looks a bit saggy, but that can also be addressed.

True that is a lovely spec however it's a 120 and auto. Want the 180 again Dan. If I am to be parting ways with my 350hp wagon I can go that low power wise, be very similar to my Rover if I do.
Does look nice though.

Hey Craig! Welcome back :)

What about one of these?

Doh ... didn't read the specs - just assumed it was a 180 ...

That looks like a good buy, I'd be all over that if I was in the market.

talkingcars 26-02-16 05:36 PM

Don't get too hung up on the interior, the whole lot can be changed in a day.
More important are the colour you want and a straight body followed by the correct spec engine.

Craig-ZS180 26-02-16 06:27 PM

Appreciate what you are saying James, I won't get hung up on the interior but if I can find one where that is how I want but the rest is rather standard is rather do the mechanical work than interior stuff to be honest.
Full electrics and so on if plugs aren't there, it's not my forte to start re wiring and so on.

If I find the right spec or at least close I'll be happy :)

Mk1 does look smart although from pictures doesn't appear to be on the Xpower springs it says it has fitted.
Looks to high to me.
Sounds quite good from the offset though.

talkingcars 26-02-16 07:48 PM

Apart from the early ones all the wiring is in the loom to plug in rear electrics etc.

I thought that too although my 52 plate hatch never had the option for fitting the rear electric setup.
Will keep it in mind though buddy 👍🏻

Dan1971 06-03-16 02:00 PM

If you're still about and looking, I thought this looks decent -
