Any service specialists near me?

Need my belts and pulleys changing (cambelt service)

Found a list of all sorts of MG type garages on google, so will start ringing around. But can anyone recommend me anywhere near London/Surrey/Kent?

Or better yet can anyone tell me where I can buy belts and pulleys for the work above? I can get the belts, but not the pulleys.

Thanks, Matt

If its a ZS180 then its a no go I'm afraid, £300 just for the locking tools!!

If you have a ZS120 then any motor factors will do the parts and its an easy job (£5.50 for the locking tool)

Good ole George of RSM will do the job. But he's based by alton towers.

Not the cheapest of cambelts at all, but i found a bargain on ebay and got all 3 for £26, there are some Original MG belts on ebay with tensioners http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/SOUT...455009QQsofpZ0

I would recomend EMS at Sittingbourne,
there is also Stirling at Hastings.

Personal experience puts me off RSM but recently he seems to be doing good work.

When I bought my ZS the garage did the cambelt service, and as it was in bits they also did the water pump as a precaution.

I had the same thoughts but recently had to have the major service done myself so thought would give him the benefit of the doubt. Has done a good job, the car is pulling nicely and has not replaced or tried to do any work thats not needed.
Job included belts, sparkplugs, plenum, gearbox oil, engine oil, tensioners, waterpump. The waterpump should always be replaced along with tensioners btw as you really dont want them to fail!

The idlers are the most common for failing on the kv6, i did my belts myself :) costly tho
