Just testing the waters

Good morning all,

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.

Unfortunately I feel that my time of ZS ownership is drawing to a close. My wife and I both now work in the city centre and she gets free parking so I am finding that the Zed is spending a lot of time outside the house and barely being driven. For this reason I am finding it hard to justify the cost of insurance and tax each month therefore I am just testing the waters over what the car would be worth if I decide to sell.

It's a MK2 MG ZS 180+ with electric pack. It's currently on 44k mileage, belts have been done, full service history and has a couple of nice upgrades such as the black oak interior and ITG Maxogen induction kit.

Some pictures of it can be seen below:

It really is a brilliant car and am feeling very torn about this but I feel I need to be sensible and weight up the options giving the financial cost.

So what do you guys think it's worth?

Cheers

Martyn

Go for a long drive and see if you feel the same.

It ought to be worth at least £2k, whether you get that or not is another question, how much were you thinking of

You should have a chat with Stamford. I know he was looking for a monogram, but this could be the one with such low mileage, history and spec ....

I dont use mine for commuting, but everytime I think of him, let alone fire hime up, I know Ill never get rid, surely the cost of tax and insurance arent much, compared to the joy of owning him????

i remember the interest in this car the last time it came up for sale. £2k easy.

Stick it on a limited mileage classic MG insurance policy with Peter Best, costs me £120 a year for 5000 miles which is way more than I do in it nowadays.

Interesting post as I might possibly be putting mine up for sale too next week and noticed the prices are all over the place.

Cracking example that. Tempting but really looking for something rare.
