How does the tester work? Can they be tested with a voltage tester?

Yes and No, you cannot test the motor with a meter etc, but you can test the circuit, the tester applies power if it were connected to the car.

To test the motor itself you need a 12v power supply to run the motor and a meter to read ma in line in the circuit. this will tell you the current draw of the motor ;)

Green lights of joy! I thought they were working correctly, although you can never be too sure.

Hi guys, just back off holiday. Weather permitting I should have it tested by the end of the weekend, and then it'll be on to the next person.

Not a dig at you Shycho - (there's a mini rant coming).

When you get it, it should be the first thing you want to do, and then when you've tested them send it on please.

I agree with you Dan, and I intend for the tester and I to spend last than a week in the same country in each others company.

I've contacted Lawrence, asking for his address but i've just noticed he hasn't been online since June. So do I just move on to R8NMG?

Could do - or give him a day or so to reply. If he re-appears he can always jump to the top.

Just a quick update, I received the tester yesterday.

I have pm'd both Lawrence-ZS180 and Hambo-180 a week ago and have not heard back from either of them.

If the guys read this, a quick reminder to check your pm or it will go to the next person on the list. I will give it a few more days.
