Custom Parts/Group Buys

Hi Guys

Having owned a Rover Tomcat for the best part of a decade & making composite parts for them, I now also own a ZS to compliment the Tomcat.

I was just checking out what parts you guys would like to see & if there would be much interest. Parts currently under the spotlight for potential moulding are -

Custom spec rear wing - Lightweight Carbon Blade
Custom Front splitter - No bumper mods required
Carbon Tweeter mounts
Carbon Mirror Caps
Composite Bonnet

And various small items in the engine bay

Cheers

Johnny

Engine bay on mine needs some serious tlc. What you got?

Mirror caps would be good - could also suit the ZR as they use the same mirrors.

Also engine covers - same as above for the 4 pot K series.

May be interested in tweeter rings.

However the rear spoiler is a bit of a pain to split so it is quite commonly wrapped.

Cheaper yet similar to the clio 192 splitter option for mk2's.
That would be awesomesauce

BTCC style front splitter would be good

Hi Guys

I have sourced what i need so i can get on with a few bits for now.

maxtherotti - Mirror caps & Tweeter Rings will probably be around £30 each per pair delivered. If i can get a run together of 10 this will come down too as it is easier for me to run off a number of them from the mould in one go & finish them together before getting another mould & part out to work on. Space is the main problem here as well as time.

tcb180 - There are various brackets + OEM spec parts will be things like battery & fuse box covers, Wiper blade spoiler etc. Cutom parts will be radiator shroud & air deflector, TD Turbo heat shield.

talkingcars - ive done the K series cam cover as my Tomcat has the VVC enigne, but still being tested to be sure it can handle all the temps & pressures etc. Taking a while as had to test the moulds then the actual part itself in real world conditions.

Rear Spioler shouldnt be too much of a problem. I dont know whether to do just a new blade or the whole thing at the moment - depnds on what you guys think, if the inserts are a pain it may be easier to do the whole thing with modifeod mounting to make it easier to dissasemble & reassemble. I am working on a different type of wing that will fit the original mountings but with different side rails & blade - Not a barn door though!

Front Splitter - I will have to get some pics of the BTCC one to get a better idea of what is wanted, same for the Clio one. The idea i had was not too crazy as i didnt want to drastically change the style of the car but just play on the standard lines. The splitter would mount over the top of the lower centre section on the std bumper & come out towards the front & down - but not too low with small integral vents under each front spot light & flared back into the bumper where it meets the front arch so it doesnt make the wheels look smaller than they are.

I would be happy to pay £30 for the mirror covers in carbon
And the tweeter holders too (assuming here that it will replace the oe mount)

Spoiler could be of interest too price dependant of course

Cheers Rob

At that price I'm up for the tweeter rings and mirror caps.

Personally I have C/F engine cover on my 180 but was thinking of what others may want.
